Craps is one of the most popular games in a casino. More people gather around a Craps table to see a player win than any other table in the casino. It is a very rare occasion when you see a player play Craps for one hand and then walk away. Players feel lucky after then win one or two rounds and want to keep playing until the lose, that is what we call playing the streak. Keep in mind that streak does not happen all that often. You see a player on a TV show and think how hard it can be to avoid certain numbers or hit certain numbers. But Craps is not just about throwing the dice, it is also about how you bet that makes you a winner.
Most players who see another player win once or twice and think they are a streak will jump in and play based on the shooter. This can be very tricky, while it is exciting to see a player win, it is more tempting to jump into the game and get in on the streak. If you are just walking through the casino and see a crowd around the Craps table it may be tempting to join if while your standing there a player wins once or twice, but the truth is you don’t know if the player has more four or more times to be considered a streak and you don’t really know if that is the player who was on the streak or the dice were passed on before you got to the table.
There are so many things to consider before jumping in the streak and there are just as many factors to consider if you are the shooter. If you are the shooter you have to keep in mind that all streaks do not last and you aren’t going to come into millions of dollars if you are an average better. One thing to keep in mind is how much money you are willing to spend. If you came to the casino with an average amount of money then you want to bet conservatively.
One way to win or break even is to play a line, the better bet is the Pass Line, then if you win continue to play the winnings because you are playing with casino money. If you continue to win in a streak then play from your winning because you aren’t losing any of your money you are still playing with casino money and if by chance you lose before you walk away then you will have only lost your initial bet because you still have money in your pocket.
It is very exciting and very easy to get caught up in the game but you have to keep your head especially if you are winning, play the table as you see it and remember Craps is a game of chance and luck and no really strategy because you can’t control the dice once they leave your hand.
